"The Entity Resolution API enables you to accurately identify, match, and unify business records across multiple data sources at scale. It is designed to handle inconsistencies in business names, addresses, and formats, allowing you to programmatically match records that refer to the same real-world business and eliminate duplicates by intelligently merging them into a single, canonical entity. It enriches and normalizes business data to improve accuracy and usability. It can parse unstructured address strings into structured fields such as house number, street, city, state, and postal code, while also expanding and normalizing address data by standardizing abbreviations and written numbers for more reliable indexing, hashing, and matching. The API also analyzes and tags business names to identify legal entity terms and other meaningful components, further improving match confidence. And, discovers and returns all known social profile URLs associated with a business. Together, these capabilities help reduce data fragmentation, improve data quality, and provide a reliable foundation for building products and workflows on top of clean, unified business data."
