SoloEnt is leading the idea of Vibe Writing, an approach that treats writing like programming, because writing is more than just churning out chapters, it is a comprehensive engineering project that encompasses research, world-building, character development, plot design, and the prose. SoloEnt could be the AI-powered Scrivener for professional writers, or the writing equivalent of Cursor for vibe writers. We believe that AI will never replace a human’s ability to tell a great story. However, a great writer should learn how to master AI to elevate their storytelling craft.

We've been exploring and sharing the idea that creative writing may follow a path similar to vibe coding since last Nov.
We are glad to share the vibe writing tool we are currently building for creative writers - SoloEnt.ai
**SoloEnt** is an AI-powered desktop writing tool designed for creative writers. It is free to use, runs locally with full privacy, and stays open to the latest LLMs, including both paid APIs and local models.

### 1 . SoloEnt.md as the Constitution
SoloEnt provides a vibe writing workspace where you can design and maintain a **SoloEnt.md** file that works as the constitution of your writing project, storing and organizing key information. It works as the Central Control Panel for every writing project in SoloEnt. Think of it as the AI’s long-term memory, a living document that records your story’s DNA, tracks current progress, and maintains consistency across thousands of words.
### 2. Rules, Workflows, and Skills Supported
The workspace is open and flexible with respect to personal writing preference, while you can use Rules, Workflows and Skills to build powerful prompt systems and writing pipelines on your own.
By continuously update your personal SKILL.md, you may find SoloEnt getting closer and closer to what you really want.
### 3. Flexible Pricing Plan
You can always bring your own API keys (**BYOK**) and configure models under your preferred provider in the API settings, including local LLMs through LM studio or Ollama, even on the **free plan**.
